FGCU's high flying circus stuns Georgetown

The Florida Gulf Coast Eagles pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NCAA tournament history last night as they defeated the no.2 seed Georgetown Hoyas. The Eagles are the talk of the tournament today, not only for their amazing defeat, but the manner in which they played.

The Butt Score- Early on in the game, Brett Comer inbounded the ball off a defenders butt then quickly made a 2 point layup. This is now being dubbed "The Butt Score".

Sherwood Brown- With :05 remaining, Brown wandered over to the announcers’ table to shake hands with Reggie Miller, Kevin Harlan and Len Elmore. After the game ended, he went right over to the cheerleaders to shower in their adoration.

And finally.... The alley Oop- In the final moments of the game it appeared that Georgetown was going to make a comeback and began to rally. In the midst of the Georgetown rally, Comer threw an alley oop to Chase Fieler who dunked over the crowd of Hoyas. This play literally put a stamp on Georgetowns ticket back home.

All in all, even if you don't like basketball. These guys are fun to watch.

The final score of the game was FGCU-78 Georgetown-68. The Eagles next game will be vs. San Diego State on March 24th, 7:00pm in the "Sweet 16".
