CLEAR CHANNEL WORKING TO HELP FEED LOCAL CHILDREN

Clear Channel Media + Entertainment radio stations in Ft. Myers/Naples will launch the first in a series of events on Wednesday, December 12, 2012, when all four stations will host an on-air Radiothon to raise money towards the "Clear Channel Cares for Kids" campaign.

The goal is to raise $140,000 that will feed children of area schools for a period of 52 weeks - after school, weekends, vacations and through summer break.

The stations are working with Not In My City as well as Dr. Ruthie Lohmeyer from the Lee County School District to identify the most significant schools in need and best methods of distribution.

There are 83,000 kids in the Lee County School District and 76% of those families are participating in the reduced lunch program and are considered "poverty level."

Join Clear Channel as they help to remove barriers for our students so that they can develop a healthy lifestyle at home with their families. This campaign will play a major role in each student reaching his or her personal potential at school and in life.
