20/20 CONSERVATION VOTES AGAINST LEHIGH SPRING

Earlier this week, the 20/20 Conservation, who uses tax money to buy and protect environmentally sensitive land, voted against pursuing acquisition of the Lehigh Spring, a 420 foot long, 208 feet deep lake located behind Leeland Heights Boulevard.

Supporters of the Lehigh Spring argue that artifacts can be found at the bottom of the lake that would date back to nearly 10,000 BC and that conserving the Spring would bring tourists and much needed attention and revenue to the area.
